eNVD - Authentication & Configuration

eNVD - Authentication & Configuration

Overview

Released in Stockyard 5.11.0, the eNVD integration links your myMLA account to Stockyard and automatically downloads the eNVDs, their related responses, and images associated right into the NVD data entry screen for ease of use in Stockyard.

This article explains how to configure NLIS settings and authenticate myMLA so Stockyard can retrieve eNVD consignments for the correct PIC.

Key terms

  • NLIS account: Used for NLIS transfers/inquiries (username/password).
  • myMLA account: Used to access/authorise eNVD consignments. One myMLA login can link to multiple PICs (e.g., Producer, Agent, Saleyard). These are separate accounts.
  • PIC: Property Identification Code. The destination PIC (saleyard/location) must be correct in NLIS Settings or eNVDs addressed to your site will not appear.
  • Movement Date: The date/time the truck actually hits the road (not the sale date).

InfoNLIS account details have moved from Livestock Proxy to Maintenance → NLIS Settings, allowing one-to-many NLIS account setups.

Livestock → Maintenance → NLIS Settings

  3. NLIS PIC is required for the eNVD Service to know which consignments to look for

If you created a new NLIS Settings record (not Default):
  1. Open Sale Types
  2. Set NLIS Action to the required NLIS Settings account
  3. Save

Adding Consignee PICs to filter eNVDs

This feature allows an Agent to manage up to five (5) Consignee PICs
  1. Open the Address Book and select the Agent contact

  2. On the right-hand side, select Agent

  3. In the Agent section, add the required Consignee PIC(s)
  4. Once added, the Agent will only see eNVDs that are consigned to the configured Consignee PIC
Info
Important
  • Consignee PICs directly control which eNVD consignments are visible to the Agent
  • If a consignment is sent to a PIC not listed here, it will not appear in the Agent’s eNVD grid
  • An Agent can have up to five Consignee PICs

Troubleshooting

No eNVDs appear in the list
  • Confirm backend eNVD service is installed and working.
  • Verify the Destination PIC in NLIS Settings matches the PIC vendors use as the delivery location.
  • Ensure myMLA authorisation is completed and the correct account/PIC is selected in the drop-down.
  • Expand the Movement Date range (default is ±7 days of Sale Date).
Auto-assign on NVD number didn’t find anything
  • Confirm the exact NVD number format.
  • Try View/Search eNVDs by PIC or Vendor Name to sanity-check visibility.
I can’t re-use an eNVD
  • Enable Show Assigned to view consignments already assigned elsewhere; eNVDs are not bound to a sale and can be reassigned if operationally valid.
“Authorisation successful” screen closes unexpectedly
  • The browser may close immediately after success. Re-open NLIS Settings and confirm the account appears in the Account drop-down. If not, click Update eNVD Authentication again.

FAQs

Q: What’s the difference between NLIS and myMLA?
A: NLIS credentials power NLIS transfers and inquiries in Stockyard. myMLA credentials authorise Stockyard to fetch eNVDs. They are separate systems, though a single myMLA login can link to multiple PICs.

Q: Which date should vendors use for Movement Date?
A: The movement date/time (when the truck actually hits the road), not the sale date.

Q: Why do I need to pick an account after logging into myMLA?
A: One myMLA login can have multiple linked accounts/PICs (producer, saleyard, agent). Select the one that corresponds to the NLIS Settings record you’re configuring.

Q: What happens after I assign an eNVD?
A: Stockyard links the eNVD image and locks mapped NVD fields to the source data
