Perform an NLIS Rollback for RFIDs

Perform an NLIS Rollback for RFIDs

Introduction

This article will detail the process for performing NLIS rollbacks for RFIDs in Stockyard. There are several reasons you may need to perform an NLIS rollback:
  1. A Vendor and/or Purchaser’s PIC has changed
  2. Incorrect assignment of livestock in lots
  3. Livestock withdrawn from the sale
Rollbacks are available only if the Saleyard In or Saleyard Out process has already been completed and key details against livestock have since changed and require correction on the NLIS database. After rollbacks have been completed, it is important that the subsequent transfer is also completed.

Identifying rollbacks

The RFID Summary screen is used to notify Stockyard users if there are any rollbacks awaiting action. The RFID Summary tab highlights a pending rollback after key information has changed and requires a rollback. The “not sent” cell will be highlighted in orange indicating a rollback is pending.

You can right-click on the 24 and select "View RFIDs" or "View RFIDs by Lot".

This will open the Display RFIDs tab with the updated data highlighted in Orange. You can view and verify that the correct lots and RFIDs are selected from this screen.

Performing Rollbacks

Once you have identified that there are rollbacks pending, there are two main ways you can perform rollbacks; Either in bulk for all of the RFIDs involved, or individually if some need to be processed immediately.

Rollbacks (Bulk)

To perform a rollback for all of the involved RFIDs complete the following steps:
  1. Go to the Special Features tab
  2. Click the NLIS button
  3. Access the dropdown list and select "Perform Rollbacks"

  4. Click Ok
This will submit the rollback request to the NLIS website. This may take a few minutes to complete, depending on your internet connection, and the processing time on the NLIS database.
To confirm the rollback has completed successfully use the RFID Summary screen, and check the “Success” line in the grid

You can also check the individual animals under the Display RFIDs tab the Saleyard In or Saleyard Out column will have the transfer status cleared:
