Activate last sighted trait and then add to animals


The  Animal Sighted (SEEN) Trait  allows the recording of when an animal was  Last Seen . The default setting is "Inactive" but can be activated as a handy tool. 
Once this trait has been activated, there are two ways the animal can be recorded in Stockbook via a manual trait assignment or Live Entry.

The first thing to do is turn on or make active the Animal Sighted Trait - Code SEEN.

Step 1. Select Traits from main Menu Tab

  1. Go To Setup
  2. Performance
  3. Traits


Step 2. Subjective Traits

  1. Tick Include Inactive
  2. Scroll down to find Animal Sighted - SEEN and select
  3. Click the edit button

Step 3. Editing Subjective Traits

  1. When in the editing section  Untick  Inactive
  2. Then Tick  Score
  3. Click OK
  4. This will then make the trait active

The seen trait is now active and can be added to animals

Adding the Seen trait to your animals:

Step 1. Select Animal

Select the animals you wish to add the Seen trait to
This can be done in bulk if sighted on the same date, if separate dates it must be done singularly 

Step 2. Select Events

With animals selected then click on the Events button located down the bottom of the page


Step 3. Select Traits
  1. Once events is selected, and the screen pops up
  2. Then click Traits (single) and OK

Step 4. Add the Date

  1. First add the date to which the animals were last sighted
  2. Then Scroll down in the trait section to find the SEEN trait, select it
  3. Then add a numerical value of 1 as it requires a score. Then tick the score button and click OK
  4. This will then ask are you sure? Say YES
  5. The date will be added to the selected animals

The selected animals will now have a date recorded in the last seen trait
