Export to Sheep Improvement Ltd (SIL)

 How  do I export my performance and pedigree data to Sheep Improvement Ltd (SIL) NZ? 

  Step 1.  Select the animals from your animal list that you wish to export to SIL

  Step 2.  Go to  File > Export Options > Pedigree and Performance Data


  Step 3.  Select SIL from the dropdown list


  Step 4.  Enter the flock number in Export data for flock

  • Select whether you want to export animal details or specific traits
  • In File Name select the location to save the file and name the file

 
If you want to directly email the file from Stockbook tick the box next to Email File

 You will receive the follow message, select OK


  After selecting OK the follow message will appear:

 This confirms where the file has been saved to if you are not directly emailing it from Stockbook. 

  Step 5.  If you chose to email the file directly from Stockbook the next steps are relevant:

  • Enter the SIL email address to send the email to
  • Add any subject lines or message content that you wish to send with the export file
  • Select Show/Hide setup and this will show the email parameters that need to be correct to send the email

 If you are not emailing the file directly from Stockbook you will just need to find it in the saved location from Step 4 and attach it to an email
