Export to Sheep Improvement Ltd (SIL)
Exporting performance and pedigree data to Sheep Improvement Ltd (SIL) (New Zealand)
1. Select the animals from your animal list that you wish to export to SIL
2. Go to File > Export Options > Pedigree and Performance Data
3. Select SIL from the dropdown list
4. Enter the flock number in Export data for flock
- Select whether you want to export animal details or specific traits
- In File Name select the location to save the file and name the file
- There is an option to email the file directly from Stockbook by ticking the box next to Email File
Select OK to confirm 'you want to do a SIL export for flock....
Now select Ok to the following message
This confirms where the file has been saved to if you are not directly emailing it from Stockbook.
5. Emailing the file directly from Stockbook
- Enter the SIL email address to send the email to
- Add any subject lines or message content that you wish to send with the export file
- Select Show/Hide setup and this will show the email parameters that need to be correct to send the email
If you are not emailing the file directly from Stockbook you will just need to find it in the saved location from Step 4 and attach it to an email
