Download a Tag Bucket File from NLIS database

Step 1. Go to https://www.nlis.com.au/

Step 2. Select the Log In option

Step 3. Login to NLIS

  • Enter your NLIS user ID and NLIS password
  •  Click on the Login button

Step 4. View devices on my property 

  • In the box below where it says What do you want to do today? 
  • Select View devices on my property
  • Click on the Go button

 

Step 5. Selecting the Report Type  

  • PIC  (Property Identification Code) - can select All PICs or just one.  
  • Report Type - The  most common types of reports are:
    1. All devices currently on my PIC (no date range)  - use if you are setting up Stockbook for the first time and you want to export all tag bucket files of all NLIS tags purchased into Stockbook.
    2. Device Purchased  - use if you only wish to export the tag bucket file of your most recently purchased NLIS tags.
  • If you selected Devices Purchased you will need to select the  start date  and   end date  for tags purchased in that period.
  • Click on the  Go  button.

Step 6. Next, double check the tags displayed are correct

  •  Click on the Export button in the bottom right corner

Step 7. In the Available fields box

  1. Click on  NLIS ID  to highlight
  2. Click on the  Add button
  3. Click on  RFID  to highlight
  4. Click on the  Add  button
  5. NLIS ID and RFID should now appear in the Selected fields box

This would make a bucket type of ‘NLIS ID, RFID’ because the tag bucket file type is created by the order in which fields are selected (see example below).

  1. Leave the delimiter as ‘Comma – (,)’
  2. Click on the Submit button. 

 

Step 8. Click on the down arrow in the window that opens up

  • Click on Open
  • Save file to a location that is easy to find. (e.g. Desktop or My Documents)
