TW1 Initial Connection


Please ensure you follow ALL steps as they are all crucial to a successful connection.
MAKE SURE STOCKBOOK IS CLOSED WHILE TRYING TO GET THE INITIAL CONNECTION.

Step 1. Turn TW1 On and Enable the Bluetooth

Go to settings > Device settings >  Bluetooth > Enable Bluetooth.

Step 2. Open Blue Soleil on your computer 

Double click on the ‘sun’ and the TW1 device should appear.

Step 3. Enter the passcode

In equipment connections on TW1 go to > Data output  > Bluetooth Select device > connect > window should pop upon Blue Soleil asking for passcode.

Step 4. Pair the device

Right-click on the TW1 icon in Blue Soleil on computer > Pair Devices > type in 0000 in the passkey section.
A green chain-link icon should appear next to the TW1 icon, this indicates that it had paired.

Step 5. Check if there are any connected devices

Right-click on the TW1 icon > select connect Bluetooth serial port – at this point, the TW1 will show no connected devices.

Step 6. Establish Connection

There should be a pop-up screen that briefly tells you that there is an establishing connection.
To identify what comport is being used open Blue Soleil > click on the TW1 icon

Step 7. The TW1 icon will be green with a dotted line connecting to the ‘sun’

Step 8. Save the Device Settings

Go to Device Settings on TW1 > Connected Devices.  The TW1 will now show the name of the connected device/computer or should show the computer name (Ruddweigh).
If not: Select Settings > Type > Select Ruddweigh > Save

Step 9. Close Blue Soleil

After connecting close Blue Soleil on the computer by hitting x at the top right-hand corner.

Step 10. Ready to Weigh

Press the home button on the TW1 > select new session >use last sessions settings > TW1 is now ready for weighing.

Step 11. Setup the TW1 in Stockbook

Open Stockbook > go to Electronic ID > setup > go to scales in setup devices.

Step 12. Manually select Comport

In scales drop-down list select Gallagher/Ruddweigh Km300..800 > go to manual setup and select the correct comport.
Refer to NOTE: under step 6 to verify comport.
DO NOT TOUCH ANY FURTHER SETTINGS ON THIS WINDOW

Step 13. Start Live Entry

Go to Live Entry > you will see the Scale port is now open > Start Live Entry

Make sure only the following options are ticked in Equipment Connections |Data Output | Settings | View Options, on the TW1 : Send Prefix, Send Weight State, Send Units, Request Mode.
All other settings on this screen should be unticked.
