Sheep Genetics ID Format


What is the format of a Sheep Genetics Identification Number (SG ID) and where should this be entered on the animal in Stockbook? 


The layout for the SG ID is:

BBFFFFYYYYTTTTTT for Eg. 4001232014321098

With the Key being:

       B- Breed Code (eg 40)

       F – Flock Number (eg 0123)

       Y – Year of Birth (eg 2014)

       T- Tattoo (eg 321098)


A Sheep Genetics ID should be added to the SG ID box on an individual animal (as seen below.)
