Sheep Genetics Export - Submit Dead Lamb Data Option

Information 

In the latest round of Sheep Genetics indexes there is new data which can be sent to generate the new indexes. The following is optional depending on what data and indexes you are getting from Sheep Genetics. There are two options to collect and send this data.

Method for Submit Dead Lamb Data to Sheep Genetics (SG)

Option 1. Lamb was dead at birth

  1. Take a backup of Stockbook
  2. Go to the Animals Screen
  3. Click Add
    1. Generate an Animal Id, for example 22DAB001
    2. Select the checkbox "Dead"
    3. Select the Sex on the animal
    4. Enter the birth date
    5. Allocate Sire and Dam
    6. If known, add number in birth and add number reared
  4. Click OK
  5. This will automatically make the lamb dead

Option 2. Lamb died before weaning

  1. Take a backup of Stockbook
  2. Go to the Animals Screen
  3. Select the Lamb that died
  4. Complete a Disposal Event
  5. At weaning time add number reared to the surviving lamb(s)

Submitting Dead Lamb Data to Sheep Genetics (SG)

  1. In Stockbook, Go to File > Export Options > Pedigree and Performance Data
  2. Fill in the details as per your normal submission 
  3. Select "Submit Dead Lambs Data to Sheep Genetics (SG) 

  1. Click OK
  2. Check for errors and upload the file to Sheep Genetics
