Create and apply a Multi Sire/Dam Group
The ET module, has added the functionality to include IVF joinings.
Often as a part of IVF process a number of eggs from multiple dams can be added to a bucket and joined to several sires.
1. Creating a Multi Sire or Dam Group
The following is the process on how to create and apply multi Sire/Dam groups.
- Select Setup
- Select Multiple Groups
- Select Sire or Dam
- Click Add
- Add a Identification and Description
- Scroll through Available Sires/Dams
- Select the Sires/Dams and double click to bring them across to 'Sires in group' or 'Dams in Group'
- As the Sires/Dams are added, the Breed codes and Breed % will auto calculate
- Click OK
2. Add a multi Sire group to an animal
- Select the animal and double click to open
- Select the down arrow next to Sire in the Birth details
- Select the Identification for the multi Sire group

3. Use a multi Sire group when joining females
Step 1. Select the females that are to
be joined
Select Events
Select Joinings (Bulk)
Click on the OK button
Click
on the Sire drop down box
Select the multiple
sire group
Click OK button
Click Yes on to confirm that you want to record
the nominated mating type for the selected females.
