Recording animal weights

Adding weights to animals in Stockbook:

 1. Adding Weights to a group of animals

  1. Select the animals for which you wish to record a weight
  2. Click  Events 
  3. Click Weighing 
  4. Click OK

  1. Enter the relevant information
  2. For a more detailed Help in regards to this screen, click on the on the   at the bottom right  of this screen
  • Click on the OK button.
      

2. Entering weights on a single animal 


 
  • Find the required animal on current animal listing.
  • Click on the blue  Weight   tab at the bottom of the screen.
  • Click on  Add .
  • Enter the following details:
    • Weighing date in dd/mm/yyy format.
    • Weight Type : every weight must be associated with a type for reporting and analysis purposes. Select a type from the dropdown list. You may add a new type via the  +  button.
    • Weight in kg.
    • A management group for any animal that received special treatment prior to weighing.
    • Herd Identifier if required.
    • A shrinkage factor, if required, so that the entered weight is reduced by the entered percentage when it is stored in the database.
  • Click on the  OK  button   to accept data, or click Cancel/Exit to abort the procedure.
