Products - Setup, Purchase and Edit

Product Setup

To enter the purchase of a product, firstly the product item will need to be setup.
Select Products > Setup
Select Add
Select Type i.e. Vet. Product, feed
Enter details for the Product
Select 'Used in treatment' or select + to add a 'Used in Treatment category'
Select OK

Notes

  1. When entering the Withholding Period (days) and ESI (days), Stockbook will record the information for auditing purposes.
  2. For the 'Used in Treatment', we suggest simplifying it to how the product is applied i.e. Vaccine, Drench, Dip, Powder, Reproduction, etc.
  3. Leave ‘Applied at the rate of’ blank unless you are using an automatic dosing gun (i.e. Te Pari) or a manual drench gun based on weight. Stockbook will automatically apply this rate based on the animal’s weight.

Product Purchase

Select Products > Product Purchases
Select Add
Enter product details i.e. Batch number, Quantity purchased, Expiry date, etc.
Select OK

Notes:
  1. Stockbook automatically generates a unique Batch Number for the product.  We strongly recommend you enter the Batch number located on the product packaging.
  2. If a product is not in your list, you can add it by clicking on the + button.
  3. When the product cost is entered, Stockbook will apply a treatment cost to treated animals.
  4. In product purchases there is stocktake or Finished/ Disposal option to assist with maintaining chemical inventory. When a product is finished, it is marked as "Used" and removed from the active inventory list.
  5. To view used products, select "Include Used" on the product purchases screen.
