Introduction
The Settlement (Account Sale) Due Days and Payment (Invoice) Due Days are determined by the date of the sale. For example, if a sale occurs on January 10, 2025, and the Payment Due Days is set to 7 days, the invoice will display:
"Amount Due by 17/01/2025".
To manage due dates for settlements and payments, follow the steps below.

Updating the Payment/Settlement Due Days
Both Settlement Due Days and Payment Due Days settings can be adjusted using the same steps.
Updating Sale Type (For Future Sales)
Sale Types determine the default due days for all new sales created under that type. To update the default due days:
- Open Livestock > Maintenance (at top) > Sale Types.
- Click on the Sale Type that you wish to update.
- On the left-hand side, locate and update the Settlement Due Days or Payment Due Days field.
- Click Save to apply the changes.

Updating Sales (For Existing Sales)
If a sale has already been created, you need to update it manually:
- Click to open the specific Sale.
- Click on Sale (button under the Office button).
- On the right-hand side, update the Due Days for this sale.
- Save the changes.

Note: Each sale can have its own individual due days if necessary.
Updating Individual Vendors/Purchasers

If a Vendor or Purchaser requires different due dates—either for a single sale or permanently—you can set up their individual due days.
There are two ways to do this:
A. Using the Address Book (With the Livestock Sale not currently open in the backgrou)
- Open the Address Book and select the client.
- Click on Vendor/Purchaser on the right.
- At the bottom, you'll see the Due Days section.
- Untick the default option (so it doesn’t use the sale’s standard due days).
- Set the specific due days for the client.
B. While a Livestock Sale is Open
- Open the Livestock Sale.
- Click on Vendor Listing or Purchaser Ways to find the client.
- Right-click on the client and select Vendor/Purchaser Control (depending on where you are).
- On the right-hand side, locate the Sale-Specific Options section.
- Untick the default due days and set the new due days.
🔹 Tip: If you want to apply these changes permanently, use the "Copy from Vendor/Purchaser Control" button (bottom left). This updates the Address Book record with the new due days for all future sales.
Configuring the Display of Due Dates on Reports
You can choose to show or hide the due dates on Account Sales and Invoices in reports.
Showing or Hiding the Account Sale Due Date
- Open the Sale Type for the relevant sale.
- Click on Report Parameters (left-hand menu).
- Locate the Account Sale Report (usually at the top).
- Under Unique Process 3, change the dropdown option to either:
- Hide Settle Date
- Show Settle Date
- Save your changes.

Showing or Hiding the Invoice Due Date

- Click on Report Parameters (left-hand menu).
