Management Reports - Weigh Time Analysis

Management Reports - Weigh Time Analysis

Use the weigh time analysis report to view and monitor the performance of lots being weighed. The weigh time analysis report shows how long it took for the average lot to be weighed. You can control how many head per lot to determine the differences between number of head and the weigh times. This can be done by individual sales, across multiple sales, or even by a date range. Follow the steps below to run the report.
  1. Open Stockyard and go to the Livestock section of the program
  2. Click on the 'Reports' dropdown and select "Operational Analysis"

  3. Use the controls within Sales control box to select the sale(s) you want to analyse. You can filter and select on several factors:
    1. Sale Date or Sale
    2. Start Date or Sale
    3. Sale Type (If you only wanted to see results for weaner sales for example)
    4. Species
  4. Finally change the 'Report' dropdown and select "Weigh Time Analysis".

  5. Input a number into the 'Interval' field. The interval is used to determine how lots are grouped together. Intervals of 5 means that 1-5 head lots will be grouped together, 6-10 head lots will be grouped together, so on and so forth. Intervals of 1 mean that lots will be grouped in 1 head increments, so all of the 1 head lots will be grouped, then all of the 2 head lots, and so on.
  6. Click 'Run Report' in the top left to generate the report to the screen
  7. Use the 'Output' options to change how the results are generated (Display, Print, or File)
See a sample of the report generated to the screen:

In this sample, there where a total of 159 lots.  All of the lots have been weighed. The average weigh time for all of the lots was 47.6 seconds.
