Lot Types

In this guide, we will explain how to create, connect, delete and restore a Lot Type

Key Notes
  1. BLUE highlighted Lot Type means it has been previously used in a Clearing Sale before.
  2. RED highlighted Lot Type means it has been marked inactive.
  3. GREEN highlighted Lot Type means it is newly selected as a Lot Type to add to the Sale.
  4. LIGHT GREEN highlighted Lot Type means it is being used in the currently selected Sale.
  5. BEIGE highlighted Lot Type means it is a Lot Type used (depending on how it was used) or not used in a Sale before.

Creating a Lot Type

  1. Open Clearing Sales (if not already open)
  2. Click Maintenance (at top) --> Lot Types
  3. Double-Click a blank Lot Type
    1. Type in the name of the Lot Type to add
    2. If GST Applies to that Lot Type, tick on "Default GST Applies" column tick box.
  4. Click OK to confirm the Lot Type

Connect a Lot Type to a Sale

There are two ways to do this.

When Creating a Sale

  1. Click Add to start creating a Sale
  2. Add the Lot Type on bottom-right hand side (the Lot Type will go GREEN when it is applying to the current Sale)

When a Sale is already Created

  1. Open the Sale 
  2. Click on Sale
  3. And add the Lot Type to the Sale (the Lot Type will go GREEN when it is applying to the current Sale)

Delete a Lot Type (inactivate)

You cannot inactivate a Lot Type if it has been used in a prior sale (highlight blue)
  1. Open Clearing Sales (if not already open)
  2. Click Maintenance (at top) --> Lot Types
  3. Right-Click a non-blue Lot Type
  4. Left-Click on Inactivate
The Lot Type will disappear from the Lot Type Maintenance screen.

Restore a Lot Type (re-activate)

  1. Open Clearing Sales (if not already open)
  2. IMPORTANT: You need to Show inactives first
    1. Click System --> Enable Show Inactives

  3. Then click Maintenance (at top) --> Lot Types
  4. Left-Click the RED highlighted Lot Type and click Activate
  5. It will now appear activated again and can be used in Sales now.
