How to use Stockyard Remote System
Remote System Operation Guide
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for:
- Loading the remote system from the office system database.
- Using the remote system.
- Upon successful login, you will see a dialog box with a status window and four buttons:
- Status Window: Displays real-time information about the current process during both loading and uploading phases.
- "Run STOCKyard Remote System": This button is initially disabled and will only be enabled once the system is fully loaded.
- "Prepare Remote Terminal":
- This button is enabled at the beginning of the process.
- When clicked, the system checks for updates in both program versions and database structures between the office and remote systems.
- If the remote system is outdated, it will automatically update, close, and restart within 10 seconds to initiate the loading process again.
- During loading, the system displays available open clearing sales and livestock bidder sales (typically stud sales).
- Select the sales to be loaded onto the remote system. Once the loading is complete, this button will be disabled until the remote data is uploaded back to the office database.
- "Upload Remote Data":
- This button remains disabled until the remote system is fully loaded and prepared.
- Once enabled, click this button to upload collected remote sale details to the office system after reconnecting the remote PC to the office network.
- "Leave System": Use this button to close the current remote processing session.
- Uploading collected data from the remote system back to the office system database.
Start Loading the Sale into the Remote System
Ensure to have an Open Sale before you can upload to the Remote System
After you have created the Sale and added any Lots/NVDs etc. to the Sale, you can then load it into the Remote System (ensure the sale is left OPEN - Otherwise, you will not see the Sale in the Remote System)
Login:
Start by logging into Stockyard Remote system using your employee credentials (username and password).
- Preparing a Sale:
- Click the "Prepare Remote Terminal" (big GREEN button). Ensure you are connected to the office network.
The system will:
- After the updates have been checked, a Find the Sale you want to load and:
Tick the checkbox on the right-hand side.
Click OK to confirm.
- The system will begin loading the Sale onto the remote system. Once complete, a confirmation message will appear.
- Once it has completed loading the sale, you will get a message to confirm the system is ready to use

Uploading the Sale Off the Remote System
Important:
Ensure the remote system is connected to the same network as the server.
Steps:
Once the Sale is completed, log out from the Main Menu to return to the Remote System screen.
Click "Upload Remote Data":
The system will check if the server can be found.
The Sale data will be uploaded from the remote system to the office system.
The Sale will be unblocked on the main server, allowing further edits.
Once completed, you can then perform the Prepare Remote Terminal to load a new sale.
