How to restore from a USB

Restoring data from a USB or external hard drive to Stockbook.

Step 1.  Select the right  Society  and  Livestock type

You will need to ensure you are in the right Society and Livestock Type if you operate more than one database.  
These are displayed at the top of the screen.

 

Step 2.  Click on File then select Restore Database menu option.

 

Step 3. Click the Cancel button if you get the error message below: 

 

Step 4.  Insert USB flash/memory stick or similar device into the USB port in your computer/laptop

  • Click on the a local folder radial dial to select
  • Click on the Yellow Folder  icon
 

Step 5.  Select the driver

  1. Select the Driver (eg. E:) in which the backup is located
  2. Click on the OK button
 

Step 6. Select the most recent Backup

  • The most recent Stockbook backup will appear at the top of the list of available files
  • Click to highlight  your required backup file
  • Click on the Restore button
 
 

Step 7.  Click  Yes  to the Confirm message:



  • Click Yes to Information message: 'Restore completed"
