Mobile Devices (Stockyard Mobile)

Stockyard Mobile is compatible with both Android and Apple devices. However, RFID Readers only work with Android devices.

Warning
Apple devices cannot be used for RFID scanning, but can perform all other Stockyard Mobile tasks (e.g., bookings, address book, etc.).


Wi-Fi & Network Requirements

Wi-Fi connectivity is essential for real-time syncing of data between handhelds and the server. It allows Stockyard Mobile to capture data during live sales and bookings.

CoverageFull coverage of the saleyard is essential. Partial coverage may prevent data from syncing to the server.
AccessibilityWi-Fi must be accessible to: Agents, Contractors, and Software Administrators. It should not be open to the public.
ConnectivityStockyard Mobile connects to the on-site server via a web-based API over port 6795. This port must be open. All other traffic can be blocked.
PerformanceA minimum of 25 Mbps is recommended. Gigabit is not required. The system transmits small packets and works even with intermittent coverage.
