Entering semen when sire is not owned by property

How do I enter semen into semen inventory when the sire is not owned by my property?

Step 1. Add Sire

  • You will have to add the sire first in main animals screen
  • Click on the Add button at the bottom of the screen
 

Step 2. Enter the Sire Details

  • Enter the sire details as per normal (SG Id will be entered in the Alternate Id. space)
  • Tick the Semen box. This will tell the system that the sire is a semen only sire. 
 

Step 3. Click on the Utility > Semen Inventory menu option

 

Step 4. Click on the Add button 

 

Step 5. Select the Sire you have just entered

  • Click on the Sire drop down box and select the sire you have just entered
  • Enter the relevant information
  • Click on the OK button
 

Step 6. The sire will now show in the semen inventory
