Entering Notes/Comments or Flagging


Animals that have been Flagged will flash on the Live Entry screen when found.
Notes will be displayed when the animal is found on the Live Entry screen.
NOTES (up to 80 characters) are used for future viewing etc. Only use COMMENTS if you want to make a longer entry.
Adding a Note or Comment to a SINGLE Animal

Step 1. Entering a Note/ Comment

Select the animal you wish to add a Note/Comment to on the main animal list.

Step 2. Selecting Note Tab

Click on the Note tab in the blue tabs at the bottom of the screen.




Step 3. Entering a Note/ Comment

This window will let you enter a Note or Comment and bring up any existing notes written for the animal
  1. Click on the Add button at the bottom of the screen 
  2. Today's date will automatically be entered
    1. To change this click on the drop down arrow
  3. Enter the Note and/or Comment
  4. Click on the OK button 
  5. Click on the Cancel/ Exit button to close the window



Step 4. Deleting a Note/ Comment:

  1. Select the comment by clicking on the arrow next to the Note/Comment to highlight it
  2. Click on the Delete button
  3. Click on the Yes button
  4. Click on the Cancel/Exit button to close the window





Adding a Note or Flag for MULTIPLE Animals

If you are entering the same Note or Flag for more than one animal:

To Flag Animals

  1. Select the Animals on the Main Animal Screen
  2. Click on the Events button
  3. Select the Flagging for Live Data Entry menu option
  4. Click on the Yes button
  5. Enter the required Flag
  6. Click on the OK button
  7. Click on the Cancel/ Exit button to close the window





To Add Notes or Comments:

  1. Click on the Events button
  2. Select the Notes/Comments option
  3. Click on the OK button
  4. Click on the Yes button
  5. Enter the required Note
  6. Change the Date if needed
  7. Click on the OK button to complete the note entry
  8. Click on the OK button to confirm the information alert
  9. Click on the Cancel/Exit button to close the window
