Deleting Animals

To Delete an Animal:

  • Click on the Animals icon on the toolbar.
  • Click on the animal you wish to delete. A green background means you have selected the animal.
  • Click on the Delete button.
 
  • Click Yes to the following Confirm message:
If you do confirm, as the selected animal is about to be deleted, a check is done to make sure that the animal selected is not a parent of any current or archived animal. It will not delete if still a parent.
  • After clicking Yes the animal list will refresh and the animal should be gone.

To Delete Multiple Animals:

There may be rare occasions when you need to delete several animal simultaneously, e.g. if you have done a multi-add with the wrong identification. Rather than having to delete each animal individually, it may be simpler to delete them all and start again.
  • Click on the Animal icon on the toolbar.

Select the animals you want to delete by:

A green background means you have selected the animal.
To select animals in a continuous group, click on the first animal in the group, holding down the Shift key and then clicking on the last animal in the group.
Individual animals may be selected or deselected by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on the animal.

Alternatively, the Filter tool can be used.
Select the Filter button to specifically find the list of animals you wish to delete and then clicking the Select All button to automatically select the entire list of animals available on the Animals screen



  • Click on the Utility > Multi-Delete Animals menu option
  • Click Yes to the Confirm message:


If you do confirm, as each of the selected animals is about to be deleted, a check is done that it is not the parent of any current or archived animal. It will be bypassed if still a parent.
