Connecting a Gallagher TWR-5
Enable Bluetooth on the TWR-5
Have the TWR-5 switched on
Go to Settings > Device Settings > Bluetooth > enable Bluetooth
On the Computer
Go to Bluetooth & Devices
Scroll to Bluetooth devices discovery – select Advanced
from the drop down menu
Scroll to More Bluetooth setting and open
Under Discovery make sure the box is ticked next to
Allow Bluetooth devices to find this PC and select OK
Select Add Device
Select Bluetooth
Once the scale is found, select connect
Enter the Passcode 0000
The scale will now be connected to the computer
Go back to More Bluetooth settings and open
Select the COM Ports tab
Make note of the outgoing Com Port Number
Close Bluetooth & Devices
In Stockbook
To connect the TWR-5 as a scale ONLY
Go to
Electronic Id. Tab > Setup
Select
Gallagher/Ruddweigh KM3/300..800 from the scale drop down scales menu
Select Manual Setup
Select the COM port number you noted in the bluetooth connection process
To Connect the TWR-5 as
a scale and Reader
The reader
is connected in Stockbook as Gallagher
TSI/W610/W810 - NO COM port is required
The scale is connected in Stockbook as Gallagher TSI/W610/W810
DATALOGGER PROTOCOL - (COM Port IS required)
Select Manual setup
Select the COM port number noted in the Bluetooth connection process.
Troubleshooting
If you are still having trouble connecting the TWR5 check the following to ensure the scale is set up correctly.
The computer
name should now be visible on the scale during the following:
Go to Settings > Equipment Connections > Data Output > Add New Data Output– select Bluetooth > PC/Smartphone should be ticked.
Now go to Settings > Equipment Connections > Data Output > select computer (NB: computer must be connected as master) > connect.
Once connected, select Settings > Data Output > Settings > Change Type to Data logger.
The Equipment
Connections page will appear as per the image below.
Go to Data Output > Settings > Set Type to Ruddweigh
Go to Data
Output > Settings > Data Output Settings > tick send on Weight Lock
& send on Weight Change
The Data Output Setting should now appear as per the image below
You should now be ready to start Live Entry.
