Once the pair code is entered > Select connectGo back to More Bluetooth settingsSelect the COM Ports tabMake note of the Outgoing Com Port Number for your deviceClose Bluetooth & DevicesIn Stockbook
Go to Electronic Id. Tab > SetupSelect your device from the drop down menuGo to Manual SetupSelect the COM port number that was noted in the Bluetooth setup process
Once your
device has been discovered and is connected (shown by a green light), you
can test it is working properly by clicking on
the Test button
For Example, using an EID Tag Reader:Click TestRead an EID TagThe EID number of that tag will appear in the Terminal Test boxIf nothing appears in the Terminal Test box, the device (reader in this case) is not connected properly.
Green indicates that your device is successfully connected
Red indicates
that your device is not successfully connected, and you need to reconnect
your device
Plug the USB end of the serial cable into the computer USB portPlug the serial cable into the reader.When connected the reader make a 'beep' sound and vibration.Go to Electronic Id. Tab > SetupSelect your device from the drop down menuOpen Windows Device ManagerClick the arrow next to Ports (COM & LPT)Identify the COM port for the device
Select the COM port number that was Identified in the step above.Select OK
The device will now be connected.Start Live Entry!
