Changing the breeding ages for males and females.


When recording joinings, the sire is not in the drop down list. If for example, you have used a weaner bull in joinings, it is possible that you need to lower the minimum breeding age so that you can use this animal as a sire

Changing the minimum breeding ages for males and females.

To change the minimum breeding ages of animals:
  • Click on  Setup  >  Livestock Types  menu option

  • Click on  Cattle  to highlight
  • Click on  Edit  button
 
  • Change the number in  Min. Male Breeding Age  to the appropriate number of days. (For example. If you have used a weaner bull in your breeding program, you may need to reduce the minimum male breeding age, so you can include this animal as a sire.)
  • Click  OK  button.
