AWA (Australian Wagyu Association) Performance Export

Exporting Weights, Scanning data, Traits and Pregnancy Data to AWA

To export performance data to AWA either;
  1. Select a group of animals on the main animals list; or
  2. Start the export and filter which animals will be exported based on dates of observations and observation code (Obs.Code).

  1. Select File > Export options > Weights, Scanning and Traits

  1. Select any combination of the desired information types (Weights, Scans, Traits and Pregnancy tests). See example below.
  2. Select the desired Analysis indicator, reflecting life stage for animals selected. Please note, Traits for Wet/Dry and Condition score will only export if the Mature weight is selected.
  3. Select the desired Observation Code (Obs.code) which would have been applied to the weights, traits and scan data. You can omit this option if you wish to export all data collected in the date period.
  4. There is now an option to select the location you wish to save the file or leave it as the default location (your documents/ Stockbook folder)
  5. Click Export
Note:
  1. It is important that you select the correct date range which will reflect desired data, an extensive date range may deliver multiple records for the same field such as multiple weights.
  2. Scrotal circumference can be recorded in either cm or mm. it is important to ensure you use a consistent unit of measurement as the selection of unit in which you have recorded circumference will impact the exported data.

  1. Click Yes to the following message

  1. Click OK to Export Complete

Error message

You may receive an error message indicating some of the data is not suitable for the export.

In the example below, this message indicates the scanning data either is missing a practitioner or the selected practitioner does not have an accreditation number in their contact. To fix this, go to  the record on this animals scan table in Stockbook or go to the contact in question.

Depending on the severity of the error, the record may be excluded and it is important to check the exported file. An error like the one above will export the record however will be rejected by AWA.

Navigate to the Documents/Stockbook folder or where ever you redirected the file.

Open the exported Performance.csv file to check the integrity of the data to be submitted.

Note:
Common issues may be AWA Identifications, incorrect scrotal circumference measurements, missing practitioner Accreditation number for scan data or possible incorrect measurements due to human error at the time of recording.
